Bismarck veterinarian Tom Bettenhausen is now offering his services on a mobile basis, traveling to clinics across the state who need a veterinarian to perform a surgical procedure.
Outreach Veterinary Services is based out of Bismarck. Bettenhausen responds on a referral only basis for small animal surgery. He has a particular interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
Bettenhausen has been practicing for 34 years.
“I decided I’d rather serve other vet clinics in North Dakota more efficiently so people don’t have to drive so far,” he said.
It was a need Bettenhausen has seen coming over the past decade and many local clinics don’t have the necessary specialized equipment it takes to do more complicated procedures.
“It’s easier for them to call me,” he said.
Outreach Veterinary Services can be found on Facebook or Bettenhausen can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Capital RV’s Bismarck and Minot locations have joined the national dealership chain, Campers Inn RV.
“I am proud of the business my employees and my family has built over the past 30 years,” Capital RV Centers President Bruce Bentz said in a statement. “As I retire, I feel confident that Campers Inn RV will continue to uphold the integrity and values of Capital RV and it will be a seamless transition for our customers and employees. I look forward to watching the dealerships grow and the opportunities our customers and employees will receive joining the Campers Inn RV family.”
With the addition of both Capital RV Centers, Campers Inn RV now has more than 20 locations across the United States, the company said in a statement. Woody’s RV World, a Canadian dealership chain, will remain as a partner in both North Dakota RV locations.
Capital RV was founded by Bruce Bentz in 1987 as Harvey RV in Harvey. The dealership expanded to Bismarck in 1989 and was renamed Capital RV Center Inc.
