Rex Cook, who still team ropes and teaches kids to ride at age 87, will be featured in the NBC-TV series "Special Cowboy Moments."

Special Cowboy Moments is a weekly half hour series produced by the North Dakota Cowboy Association and Ken Howie Studios. Cook's episode will air at 5 p.m. CST Saturday on NBC affiliates in Bismarck, Dickinson, Williston and Minot.

Cook, who was born on a ranch 25 miles north of Sentinel Butte in 1928, has been riding horses for longer than he can remember. Introduced to ranching by his father and uncles, he owned a quarter of land at 14 years old and ran 100 horses for 45 miles over rough terrain to be sold in Medora.
