A Public Lands Pint Night, sponsored by Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, will be offered as a chance for public lands hunters, anglers and recreationists to meet and talk in Bismarck from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Humpback Sally’s, 510 E. Main Ave.

Land Tawney, CEO and president of BHA, will be in Bismarck for the event and will talk about the BHA's big picture: what the group is all about, why conservation and access are so critical to public lands sportsmen and what’s happening on this front in North Dakota.

BHA is a young group, formed around a campfire in Oregon in 2004. Membership has doubled for the past four years and there are chapters in 35 states, two provinces and Washington, D.C. Plans are to launch a chapter in North Dakota this year.
