Gospel Ministries to hold jamboree
Bismarck-Mandan Country Gospel Ministries Chapter will hold a fall jamboree Nov. 7.
The event will feature gospel artists, including Aven Grace and Barbara Levens, who are among the top duets in Canada and have won awards in their home country and the United States. Both live in Saskatchewan.
The artists play a blend of gospel, original and harmony.
The Rev. Bob Leslie also will appear at the concert. He has traveled internationally and won awards as a comedian, entertainer and vocalist.
The jamboree takes place from 1:30 to 3:45 p.m. at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Library, 515 N. Fifth St. The event is open to the public, and people of all ages are welcome. A freewill donation will be taken.

Open Door to sponsor open house
Open Door Baptist Church will hold an open house at its new location at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The church recently moved to a larger facility at 924 N. 11th St.
Pastor Daniel Haveman will officiate. The event also will feature activities for children up to age 7.
Sunday school will take place at 9:30 a.m. before the open house.
Monastery to hold All Souls' Day service
The Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery will hold a Taize prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on the eve of All Souls' Day.
The public is invited to the event at the monastery chapel.
Taize prayer is a universal prayer of peace, hope and healing. The service involves contemplating God through chants, silence and scripture.

UU Church announces November schedule
The Bismarck-Mandan Unitarian Universalist Church and Fellowship has announced its November schedule.
All events take place at 10:30 a.m. at the church, 818 E. Divide Ave. in Bismarck.
The Nov. 1 service "Samhain: Summer's End" features Christine Kujawa and Eric Stroshane. Samhain is an ancient Pagan festival that marks the end of the last harvest and beginning of the dark half year.
The Nov. 8 service "This I Believe" features Angela Harmon and Kim Hocking, who will talk about their beliefs and life journeys. Harmon is a Spanish teacher at Mandan High School, and Hocking works as a physical therapist.
The Nov. 15 service "How Can Conflict Be a Practice of Compassion?" will feature UU Minister Karen Van Fossan. She will address how people can approach conflicts as opportunities for connection and practices of compassion.
The Nov. 22 service will be led by Susan Wefald.
The Nov. 29 service "A Celebration of Gratitude" will be led by Van Fossan, Michaela Alexander and friends. It will feature storytelling, music and an intergenerational activity.
United Methodist to hold trunk or treat
Mandan United Methodist Church will hold a trunk-or-treat event from 4 to 6 p.m. today.
The event features treats, games, hot dogs and chips.

Driscoll Grace Lutheran to host bazaar
Grace Lutheran Church in Driscoll will hold a bazaar at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7.
The event will feature a live craft auction, a bake sale and raffle prizes. Raffle tickets can be obtained from church members and on bazaar night.
