October 30th found me in the hospital feeling awful. Thank you, Dr. Baker, for efficiently arranging my admission and the FANTASTIC staff at Sanford 2E. Unfortunately, I do have a nasty disease.
Thank You to my loving and supportive children.
We are also surrounded by caring and loving people to who we are Spiritually, related. Cori Quist is in this category. She is my very dearest friend and I thank God she is in my life. She made sure everyone we both know was made aware I needed prayers.
My home church is Bismarck UCC and I treasure Pastor Gretchen Deeg for her thoughtfulness in reaching out during times of challenge. My “church family” was also quick to respond with thoughts, and prayers on my behalf. On my return from and MRI, I found SCRUMPTIOUS homemade Chicken Noodle soup on my doorstep-thanks to Marcia and Bill Patrie and to Harold Karch who brought homemade Banana Bread with the admonition that he used ½ the sugar called for, but it was good for me and to eat it. Each slice was positively delicious…smeared with butter and a spoonful of sugar.
As a member of P.E.O. AP chapter, Cori made sure members were made aware of my condition. I received a beautiful yellow plant when in the hospital and every time I looked at it, I thought each petal of each flower was a prayer offered up for me by one of our ‘sisters’. When I got home, a gorgeous “Thanksgiving Poinsettia” was delivered to me personally.
As a member of Current Events, I received many uplifting messages and their love enfolded me.
Numerous phone calls, cards, emails loaded with love were received and I thank each one of you who either sent them or who are keeping me in the shelter of prayer.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and God Bless!
