Jared Sarsten, 10, works the controls of a robotic arm as Chris Riedman, 16, left, watches at the grand opening and unveiling of the robotic exhibit at Gateway to Science on 4-10 afternoon in the High Prairie Arts and Science Center in north Bismarck. The robotic arm was builit by MRISAR Institute of Science Art and Robotics in New Leipzig by John Siegel and was donated by Karen Traeholt in memory of her late husband Alan Traeholt. Gateway to Science executive director Beth Demke said a robot exhibit has been high on the wish list at the center "pretty much since we opened." Demke said the robotic arm is the first of three exhibits Gateway will be receiving from MRISAR. "Also coming are a pentiductor and the other is a stroboscope," said Demke.
