A special Saturday “Little Kids, Big World: Bison Market” will be held for toddlers and preschoolers at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum.
Learn how bison provided food, clothing, shelter and more for American Indian people. Look at items made from bison, including a boat, a hoe and a teepee. This event is limited to 30 participants.
"Little Kids, Big World" are fun, hands-on 30-minute programs that introduce children to North Dakota’s history.
The program will be led by Stephanie Schick, a gallery guide at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. Schick is a graduate of Northern Arizona University who previously worked as an educator at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa. Schick, who has a passion for history, science and education, loves to travel and has taught in schools in Kenya and Egypt.
