Art from the Heart Studio in Mandan will celebrate the role of rocks in Native American culture through a rock painting event.

Bismarck Native Rocks! will take place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at 311 N. Mandan St. Suite 4.

Hosted by Native Artists United local artists cooperative, the event will teach participants about the role of rocks in Native culture as they paint rocks with Native symbols and markings.
