Local performing songwriter Chuck Suchy will join forces with his son, Ben Suchy, and Minneapolis songwriter Jon Wayne on Nov. 25. The concert will be hosted at the Bismarck AMVETS, 2402 Railroad Ave., and run from 8 to nearly 11 p.m. Tickets are $12 at Savvy Skate and Snow, 321 S. First St. in Bismarck, and $15 at the door.
The Suchys are known for hosting their annual “Saturday Night at the Hall” concert each fall.
“Bismarck is a place that people come home to,” Ben Suchy said. “My band usually plays at the Laughing Sun Brewery every Thanksgiving, but, this year, I wanted to do more of a listening concert.”
Jon Wayne and Ben Suchy are long-time co-collaborators with their acoustic based side-project, Wayne-Suchy.
“We used to just have our band name as Wayne Suchy, but people were always asking us who Wayne was so now we added a hyphen,” Ben Suchy said.
Jon Wayne spends most of his time performing with his reggae fusion band Jon Wayne and The Pain.
Jon Wayne and Ben Suchy are world travelers and recently embarked on a songwriting trip to Thailand and Myanmar. They traveled by plane, boat, motorbike and tuk tuk while writing about their experiences.
