Northern Plains Dance presents Dance+ at 7:30 p.m. Friday with two additional performances at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Belle Mehus Auditorium in Bismarck.

Dance+, an annual event for Northern Plains Dance, is an all-inclusive performance, merging dance, painting and music.

Dance+ will feature artwork by members of the Bismarck Downtown Artist Cooperative. Featured artists include Paul Noot, Ali LaRock, Graham McLaughlin, Anthony Nelson, Becky Barnes, Angie Swiec and Nicole Gagner. 

The choreographers who contributed to Dance+ have traveledl from all over the nation to stage original works for this production of North Dakota dancers. This year’s guest choreographers include two favorites from previous years, Jennifer McNamara, from Nashville, Ten., Jennifer Sydor, from New York City, and Meghan Daly, from Newtown, Conn., in addition to a new choreographer, David Ingram, from Greenville, N.C. Northern Plains Dance’s three full-time faculty members have each created a piece as well.

Dance+ features 30 dancers from Bismarck and Mandan, ranging in age from 11 to adult.

Reserved ticket prices range from $17 to $31 with discounts for seniors and children. Tickets are available online at www.northernplainsdance.org/tickets. Tickets also will be on sale at the box office of the Belle Mehus Auditorium one hour prior to performance times.
