A concert by George Thorogood will be the highlight of a fall festival to be held at 4 Bears Casino in New Town on Friday and Saturday.
At noon Friday will be a horseshoe tournament, tug of war and bean bag toss. There also will be a scarecrow contest, which will be judged at 4 p.m. A farmers market, craft fair and BBQ cook-off will continue until 5 p.m.
Other events include a walk/run at 1 p.m., bingo at 2 p.m., karaoke at 3 p.m. and the George Thorogood & The Destroyers concert begins at 8 p.m.
“We play for a different audience every night and that keeps it fresh,” Thorogood said. “There are people who’ve never seen us before, and we have to impress them. There are fans that keep coming back, and we want to surprise them.”
On Saturday, a fishing derby will be held at the casino's marina at 8:30 a.m.
