Brayden Johnson — Cross country
Brayden Johnson continued to be our top runner throughout October. This is a direct result from his hard work all season, as well as the hundreds of miles he ran over the summer for conditioning. His perseverance through difficult practices and dedication to excellence continued to provide an amazing example of work ethic for his teammates.
Brayden’s hard work showed in his race results. At WDA he ran a 5K time of 16:56 to receive all region honors. The following week, Mandan participated in the Fall Classic in Bismarck. where Brayden placed fifth. At state Brayden ran a time of 16:46, just missing all state by less than three seconds per mile off his pace. This placed him 22nd at the State Meet, out of the 186 participating athletes.
