Keaton Meschke - Football

Keaton helped the team start the season with a pair of wins, including the first victory over Fargo South in school history. Keaton is a two-way starter at linebacker and fullback. The expectation for our linebackers is that they will be in on every tackle and Keaton is holding up that standard with 5 tackles 3 assists and 1 tackle for loss as well as 3 passes defended. At fullback, our most complicated position, Keaton has 71 yards rushing on 11 carries plus 4 catches for 21 yards. He has scored a touchdown rushing and a 2-point conversion receiving. The stats are nice but the true test of a fullback is their ability to block and their knowledge of the scheme to get themselves into a position to expose the defense for other athletes. Keaton meets and exceeds this as evidenced by the team’s over 400 yards of passing and rushing.

Keaton has been a mainstay in the team’s community activities, from working youth camps to Lunch with Heroes program. He was voted a captain by his teammates and has been an emotional leader during practices and games.
