Margaret Weber, 85, Wilton, formerly of Center, passed away Sept. 18, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Mass of Christian burial was held Sept. 22 at St. Martin Catholic Church, Center, with the Rev. John Guthrie as celebrant. Burial was at St. Martin Cemetery following the service.
Margaret was born Dec. 2, 1932, to Kasper and Katherine (Heck) Aman in Mandan. Having been born and raised in the Yucca, N.D., area, Margaret was fully aware of farm life. She learned the importance of self-reliance, hard work and the love of family. Margaret and Richard were married on Nov. 5, 1952, and soon after, they started their family together.
Her talent as a seamstress was displayed in sewing all the clothes for her children, right up to the time when they got married. Margaret created the wedding dresses for three of her daughters. Quilting was also a display of her love; all of her children and grandchildren had a quilt. She did take time to relax and enjoyed playing cards along with expressing her musical talent by playing the harmonica and organ. While enjoying farm life, she took delight in canning and cooking for her family and others. Most of all, she and Richard were always together. The simple task of taking a lunch out to the field where Richard was farming or going into town, walking and holding hands both displayed their love and devotion for each other.
Her family was the center of her life, an accomplishment, leaving an example, but most of all, countless cherished memories.
Margaret will be deeply missed by her daughters, Kathy (James) Wagner, Bismarck, Lucy (John) Bobb, Center, Debbie (Gary) Arbach, Washburn, and Bernie (Myron) Miller, Flasher; sons, Richard T. (Cy) Weber, West Fargo, and Ken (Lana) Weber, Milnor; son-in-law, Doug Lotzer, Lynwood, Wash.; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; half sister, Mary Ann Powell, Bismarck; stepbrother, Albert (Betty) Kostelecky, Mandan; and half brother, John (Eleanor) Aman, Mandan.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Kasper and Katherine Aman; husband, Richard Weber; daughter, Tammy Lotzer; son, Michael Weber; grandson, Andy Bobb; sister, Rose (Tony) Landies; stepsister, Martha (Louie) Novotney; and brothers, Joseph Aman and Tony Aman.
