Donald P. Weissman, 83, St. Cloud, Minn., passed away peacefully on Dec. 19, 2018.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 12 at the Church of St. Paul, 1740 Bunker Lake Blvd. N.E., Ham Lake, Minn., with a luncheon to immediately follow. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.
After graduating from Mandan High School, Don enlisted into the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge he started his career at Honeywell in Minneapolis. After retirement Don lived mainly in Pine City, Minn., and eventually moved to St. Cloud, while spending his winter months in Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen (Beierlein) Weissman, and brothers, Reuben, Vern and Ken Weissman.
He is loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Sheree Hammond and Lori (Kyle) O’Dowd; grandchildren, Angie Johnson, Tim (Nora) Hammond, Chris Hammond and Sara (Cody Puchalla) O’Dowd; great-grandchildren, Devin, Preston, Carter, Paxton and Mason; siblings, Pete (Linda) and Jerry (Edie) Weissman and their families; former wife, Kathy Weissman; and longtime companion, Carole Austing, and family.
In lieu of flowers, any memorials will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Pine City Lions Club.
