Darlene Marie Bohl, 71, Mandan, died Sept. 25, 2018, in her home. A Mass of Christian burial was held Oct. 1, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Todd Kreitinger as celebrant. Burial was at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Darlene was born May 24, 1947, in Fargo, the daughter of Peter Nagel and Theresa (Hintz). She was raised in Brisbane and educated in Carson. She worked at the county courthouse and local grocery store. On Sept. 28, 1968, she married Lawrence Bohl in Carson. They both farmed and ranched in the Flasher/Fallon area.
Darlene was a member of the Farmers Union Oil Co. in Flasher and also served as the Morton County youth director for North Dakota Farmers Union. She served as the secretary and treasurer for Morton County Crop Improvement. Recently she served on the Mandan Railroad Museum Board. Her greatest pride was her grandchildren. She especially loved the holidays and spending time with her family.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Anthony (Shannon) Bohl, Ankeny, Iowa, Melissa (Ryan) Quern, Shakopee, Minn., Steven (Melissa) Bohl, Bismarck, Richard (Amy) Bohl, Flasher, and Robert (Tasha) Bohl, Flasher; and her great-grandchildren, Rachell, Austin, Valorie Bohl, Ellie, Riley and Haylee Quern, Abigail and Nicholas Bohl, Payton Omlid, Josie and Jameson Bohl, Madalyn, Rebekka, Fallyn and Ty Bohl.
She was preceded in death by her love of her life, Larry; and her parents.
