Mandan’s Spring Cleanup Week will take place April 27- May 4.

Volunteers will kick off the week by picking up litter along routes throughout the city during Community Cleanup Day on April 27.

The city landfill will be open for free disposal of Mandan residents’ items 8 a.m.-4:45 p.m. on April 27 and April 29-May 4.

During the week, residents may place bulky items for special waste collection pickup on their boulevard curb by 5 a.m. on the normal garbage collection day. Items such as appliances and furniture that can be lifted by two people will be picked up by city crews. Spring cleanup items need to be separate from household garbage.

City crews will not pick up deer hides, bones or wild game; building or construction material such as doors; carpet; tires; sod, rocks, dirt and sawdust; oil; liquids; hazardous waste like pesticides, cleaning supplies, paint and oils; grass, leaves or lawn clippings; and branches, twigs, or Christmas trees. For more information visit www.cityofmandan.com/cleanup or call the Public Works Department at 701-667-3240.

Residents of mobile home parks should contact their park manager for details about cleanup and disposal.
