Mandan resident Mike McHugh has been named as one of 23 members who will serve an 18-month term on State Superintendent Kirsten Baesler's Family Engagement Cabinet.

Cannon Ball resident Maxine Thunder Hawk was also named as a cabinet member.

The newly-formed cabinet will offer advice about ways to strengthen relationships between families and educators. The group’s first meeting was May 23 and it will meet with Baesler every three months.
