A screening of the documentary “Surviving Home” will be presented Nov. 7 at the Grand Theatres in Bismarck. “Surviving Home” follows four military veterans from different generations over an eight-year period as they rebuild their lives after war.
“The sounds of war, seen or unseen, are not the only things veterans deal with. Finding a new identity and vocation after military service, 'what am I going to do with my life now,' is a major challenge,” said Matthew Moul, movie director and producer. “They no longer have the military to regulate their day-to-day lives.”
The Grand Theatres box office will open at noon the day of the showing. Tickets are $6. Ticket holders are invited to a meet-and-greet social from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with Moul. The movie will begin at 7:45 p.m. The event is hosted by the Marine Corps League-Department of North Dakota.
