The CROP Hunger Walk slated for 1:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the state Capitol has a goal of 200 walkers and aims to raise $1,500 to help end hunger and poverty through long-term sustainable approaches.

Last year, 100 walkers raised more than $9,000.

Twenty-five percent of the funds raised stay local and benefit Ruth Meiers Hospitality House, Bismarck Emergency Food Pantry, AID Inc. and Abused Adult Resource Center.
