Food presentation focuses on Germans from Russia

"How Germans from Russia Shared Love through Cooking" will take place at 2 p.m. June 19 at the Welk Homestead State Historic Site near Strausburg.

Presented by author Sue B. Balcom, of Mandan, this free program will take a look at the foods of one of the largest ethnic groups in North Dakota. Attendees will learn about the food ways of Germans from Russia and hear stories from the Tri-County Tourism cultural preservation interviews.

The Welk Homestead State Historic Site, managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
