Van Norman joins
Dr. Alan S. Van Norman has joined CHI St. Alexius Health Neurosurgery Clinic.
Van Norman received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School, Rochester, Minn. He completed his internship in surgery from Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., and his residency in neurosurgery from University of California Irvine, Orange.
He is board certified in neurological surgery.
The North Dakota Stockmen's Association recently recognized employees for years of service.
Allen Roshau, Dickinson, has achieved 15 years as a brand inspector at the Stockmen's Livestock Exchange and Stockmen's Livestock West markets.
Glen Clark, Williston, has 25 years with the NDSA. He joined the association as a part-time inspector at Sitting Bull Livestock Auction and Horab Scale in Williston, then became full-time in 2001.
Stan Misek, retired chief brand inspector, was recognized for 35 years with the NDSA. He began his career as a market inspector in Minot, worked at the Turtle Lake Scale and from 2010 until July was chief brand inspector.
Riehl gets award
Roy Riehl, Raleigh, has received the Honorary Local Brand Inspector Award from the North Dakota Stockmen's Association.
Riehl began brand inspecting in 1973 and continues to provide inspection service to many livestock producers in southwestern North Dakota.
Riehl has lived and ranched south of Raleigh his entire life.
Dr. Udit Agarwal has joined Sanford Health in Bismarck as a cardiologist.
Agarwal graduated from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, and completed his residency in internal medicine from Akron General Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic Hospital, in Cleveland. He is fellowship trained in cardiology from Emory University in Atlanta and is board certified in internal medicine.
Jones in program
Chris Jones, executive director of the North Dakota Department of Human Services, has been selected to participate in the Ascend Fellowship, an 18-month national leadership program.
Jones has 19 years of experience in private sector health service operations, strategy, technology and consulting. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and has undergraduate degrees in health care administration and Scandinavian studies from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn.
