Haskell gets CRS

Karin Haskell, of Bismarck, has received the certified residential specialist designation from the Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Haskell is a Realtor with Alliance Real Estate.

The credential requires advanced professional training and outstanding achievement in residential real estate.

Coleman on staff

Judah Coleman has joined the staff of Alliance Real Estate in Bismarck.

Coleman graduated from the University of Mary with a bachelor's degree in business marketing.

Nies recertified

Barb Nies has been recertified as an oncology nurse by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corp.

She is the director of oncology nursing services at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

Peterson with clinic

Kami Peterson, a family nurse practitioner, has joined the Sanford Health Walk-in Clinic in Dickinson.

Peterson graduated from NDSU College of Nursing at Sanford Health in Bismarck and received a master’s degree from the University of Mary. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Two recognized

Matt Ray has been named the August collector of the month by Credit Collections Bureau.

Linnie Tausend was named the August Employee of the Month.

Both are employed in Bismarck.

Olson awarded

Claire Olson, Bismarck, retired Basin Electric Power Cooperative general counsel, received East River Electric Power Cooperative’s highest honor, the Eminent Service Award, during East River’s annual meeting in Sioux Falls, S.D.

East River is a member of Basin Electric.

Walen with hotel

Maria Walen has been named general manager of the new 86-room Comfort Inn & Suites of Mandan.

A North Dakota native, Walen studied at Brigham Young University and began working in the hospitality business soon thereafter. She has been assistant general manager at another Choice hotel in Iowa and managed hotels in Minnesota and Idaho.

Swartz certified

Tim Swartz, an information security engineer in KLJ’s CyberNet Security Group in Bismarck, has received GIAC Penetration Tester certification.

Swartz’s high score on the certification exam earned him acceptance to the GIAC Advisory Board certified IT security professionals.

Icenogle joins

Dr. Kurt Icenogle, an orthopedic hand surgeon, recently joined Sanford Seventh & Thayer Clinic.

He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas. Icenogle is fellowship-trained in hand/microvascular surgery from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Weeks with AE2S

JW Weeks has been hired as a land surveyor by Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services Inc., Bismarck.

Weeks is a professional land surveyor with more than 20 years of experience and most recently was a land surveyor at KLJ.

He is originally from Kansas City, Mo.

Schindler attends

Optometrist Keith Schindler attended continuing education events provided by Vision Source Signature Eye Care in Houston and Phoenix. Subjects included office management, quality enhancement, eye disease and treatments and new technology and products.

Schindler practices in Bismarck and Garrison.

Renschler joins

Robert Renschler, a podiatrist, recently joined Sanford Podiatry in the Sanford Seventh & Thayer Clinic.

Renschler graduated from Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed his residency in podiatry from Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minn.

Four on staff

Ariana Best, Deborah Schon, Guy McCommon and Jackie Lelm have joined Lutheran Social Services Abound Counseling in Bismarck as licensed psychologists.

Best has a master’s degree in social work from Eastern Washington University. She has worked in inpatient psychiatry, residential centers for substance abuse and mental illness and at a children’s advocacy center.

Schon has been in the social work field since 1990. She earned a master’s degree from the University of North Dakota and received her LICSW in 2003. Schon has a variety of experience and has advanced training in treating trauma.

McCommon has been involved in social work since 1993. He has a bachelor’s degree in social work and social behavioral science from the University of Mary and completed a master of social work program at New Mexico State University. His experience includes being clinical therapeutic coordinator at the North Dakota State Hospital and program director of the Eight Rivers Residential Program.

Lelm has a master’s degree in social work from UND and has practiced in Bismarck-Mandan since 1998. She has a variety of experience and has specialized training in treating trauma victims.

Yousuf at clinic

Dr. Sadaf Yousuf recently joined Sanford North Mandan Clinic.

Yousuf graduated from Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, and completed her residency from the University of North Dakota Center for Family Medicine in Bismarck. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Steinwand at BND

Todd Steinwand has been hired as the chief business development officer at the Bank of North Dakota. Steinwand most recently worked for Wells Fargo as senior vice president/business banking manager.
