Two joining staff

Lisa Pederson has joined North Dakota State University’s Central Grasslands Research Extension Center near Streeter and Erin Gaugler will start there Aug. 1.

Pederson is the center’s NDSU Extension livestock specialist. She previously spent 19 years as Extension’s beef quality assurance specialist at the Dickinson Research Extension Center. She earned bachelor’s degrees in agricultural business and animal science and a master’s degree in farm and ranch management and livestock production from Colorado State University.

Gaugler will be the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station’s range research specialist at the Streeter center. The NDSU Extension agent in Bowman County since 2016, she holds associates' degrees in wildlife management and human communication from Casper (Wyo.) College, a bachelor's degree in agriculture and natural resources from Berea (Ky.) College and a master's degree in range science from NDSU.

Brashears hired

John Brashears has been hired as superintendent in the Bismarck office of Kraus-Anderson Construction.

Brashears has more than 30 years of construction management experience. He previously was a superintendent with Consolidated Construction Co. Inc. in Bismarck and the owner and operator of Oxbow Bend LLC.
