Sara Otte Coleman, North Dakota Tourism director since 2003, has been named national State Tourism Director of the Year for 2018. The award recognizes leadership that has led to the measurable improvement of a state’s travel and tourism profile.
The award was presented at the U.S. Travel Association's annual Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations in Phoenix.
Korey Zellers has been promoted to branch manager of the Bismarck office and showroom of D&M Industries.
Zellers has been with D&M for six years, most recently as a project manager in Moorhead, Minn. He has experience in multiple fields of construction.
Micheal A. Mulloy has been named to the American Institute of Legal Counsel’s list of Top 10 Estate Planning Attorneys in North Dakota.
Mulloy is with Stebbins Mulloy, Bismarck.
Three join clinic
Katherine M. Carvell, Jacklene Hoffman and Samantha Kisicki are new employees at the CHI St. Alexius Health Heart & Lung Clinic.
Carvell earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and a doctorate of nursing practice from the University of Mary and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Hoffman received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota and a doctorate in nursing practice from U-Mary. She is an advanced practice registered nurse and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Kisicki holds a bachelor's degree in education and a human sciences degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a master' degree of physician assistant studies from the University of Colorado at Denver, Aurora. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Chris Ray Filibeck, with the Bismarck office of New York Life, 1100 College Drive, Suite 3, has been named to the 2018 Executive Council of New York Life, which recognizes the top 20 percent of New York Life’s sales force.
This is his eighth consecutive council selection.
Field with Sanford
Dr. Daniel Field has joined Sanford Seventh & Thayer Clinic in Bismarck as an internal medicine physician.
He graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse, Wis.
Kleven on staff
Craig Kleven has been hired by the Department of North Dakota Career and Technical Education as assistant supervisor for agriculture education.
He most recently was agronomy manager for the Central Dakota Frontier Cooperative in Steele. Kleven holds a master’s degree in education and bachelor's degree in agriculture education from North Dakota State University.

Emily Bendish, Mandan, has been named the North Dakota Stockmen's Association’s communications director.
She is a Dickinson State University ag business/marketing graduate who interned with Farm Credit Services of Mandan and the Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory.
Schuh at Mid Dakota
Kristy Schuh has joined the Mid Dakota main clinic’s endocrinology and lipidology department.
Schuh earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Mary and a master’s degree in nursing with specialization in the family nurse practitioner program.
Dr. Andrew Swenson has joined Sanford Emergency & Trauma Center in Bismarck.
Swenson graduated from the University of North Dakota and completed his residency at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Three with NuVation
Ashley LaBanca, Michelle Zimney and Bre Bohlin are new employees at NuVation Health Services in Bismarck.
LaBanca is a certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who graduated from the University of North Dakota with a master's degree in nursing.
Zimney is a licensed associate professional counselor. She obtained her master's degree at the University of Mary and most recently worked at Sanford in behavioral health.
Bohlin is a licensed associate professional counselor. She holds a master's degree from U-Mary.
