West Fargo-based equipment manufacturer Bobcat Co. has signed an endorsement deal with NFL quarterback Carson Wentz, a former standout at Bismarck Century and North Dakota State University.
The maker of compact construction equipment announced the three-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles star on Monday. Terms weren't disclosed. Wentz will be featured in Bobcat marketing efforts, including advertising, dealership signage and the company’s digital and social media platforms. He will make appearances on behalf of the company, as well.
Wentz was part of five national championship teams at NDSU and was the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft. He has set records, earned awards and a Super Bowl ring, and has become the face of the Eagles franchise. In his personal life, in 2017 he launched the Audience of One Foundation, a charitable nonprofit tied to his Christian beliefs.
“We are excited to have such an accomplished and principled athlete, who shares a deep connection to North Dakota, representing our brand,” said Mike Ballweber, president of Doosan Bobcat North America.
Wentz also is known for being an outdoors enthusiast. Bobcat is giving him a variety of compact equipment to use on his land.
“I wanted to partner with Bobcat knowing their values and being a North Dakota-based company,” Wentz said in a statement.
