Cleanup is underway at a well site 9 miles west of Williston where brine leaked last week, the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division reported Monday.
The salty water, which comes to the earth's surface alongside oil and gas at well sites, leaked from a piping connection at a facility owned by Equinor Energy LP.
The company reported that the spill totaled 335 barrels of brine, which is equal to 14,070 gallons. All of it has been recovered, according to the Oil and Gas Division.
A state inspector has visited the site and will monitor any further cleanup.
