“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from
another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of
those who have lighted the flame within us. “
—Albert Schweitzer
Dear Baptist Health & Rehab and Prairie Pointe Employees,
Philosopher and Nobel Peace Prize Winter Albert Schweitzer knew
a thing or two about gratitude, which is why we quoted him, above.
Your selflessness kept the lights on at Baptist Health & Rehab and
Prairie Pointe, not only physically, but also in the souls of countless
people, we serve.
In the middle of April, snow wreaked havoc in our lives. Yet, you
came to work and stayed at work without complaint. You slept in
the chalpel to be sure residents received the care they need — and
refused to let weather stop or affect you.
Your dedication moved us to tears and inspired us. We want to let
those who live in our community know how you refused to let the
light go out during dark days. Instead, you rekindled that light from
the sparks you bring to work each day.
We want every reader to know that when they see a Baptist Health
or Prairie Pointe employee, they are looking at someone who will
sacrifice their own comfort and rest to make life better for others; a
shining example of compassion, respect, integrity and excellence.
Thank you! We are grateful to you for the work you do daily to make
others’ lives better. We are honored that you choose to work at
Cassia.
With grateful hearts,
--Board of Directors
