GABR riders raise nearly $400,000 The Great American Bike Race (GABR) is an annual event created to help families of children and young adults with cerebral palsy and other childhood-onset conditions that permanently affect development with costs not covered by insurance. For the 23rd annual Great American Bike Race, 137 teams and more than 1,500 bikers rode for a total of 7,812 miles, helping raise more than $390,000 and counting. Since it began, GABR has raised more than $4 million. It has grown to be the largest fundraising event of its kind in the United States.
