BOBCATS 5, FAIRBANKS 1

FAIRBANKS, Alaska -- The Bismarck Bobcats enjoyed their most productive offensive outing since September with a 5-1 victory over Fairbanks on Friday.

Forward Grant Johnson got the Bobcats off and running with the first two goals of the game within the first seven minutes.

Bismarck finished the opening period with a 3-0, courtesy of a Ty Enns tally. The Bobcats finished things off with a goal in each of the last two periods, the first by Patrick O'Connor and the second by Enns, an empty-net tally with 4:10 remaining.

Jax Murray put the host Ice Dogs on the scoreboard early in the third period.

Ryan Ullan turned back 24 shots to pick up the win in the Bobcat net. Josh Benson of Fairbanks made 18 saves.

The teams returned to the ice late Saturday night, facing off at 10:30 Central time.
