COLLEGE FOOTBALL

U-MARY'S STEFFAN HONORED

University of Mary junior wide receiver Tyler Steffan was named a D2Football. com All-America honorable mention Thursday.

The Dickinson native, who led NCAA Division II with 17 touchdown receptions, previously was named to the AFCA All-America team, the Daktronics All-Region first team, and the Northern Sun North Division All-Conference first team. Steffan caught 54 passes for 914 yards, averaging 16.9 yards per reception.

UND'S BROWN HONORED

University of North Dakota's Daryl Brown earned a spot on the College Sports Journal FCS All-Freshman Team on Wednesday.

The defensive back had two interceptions and 30 tackles for UND.

UND'S GRIMALDI OUT FOR SEASON

University of North Dakota coach Dave Hakstol announced Thursday that freshman forward Rocco Grimaldi will undergo knee surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

Grimaldi suffered the injury during the preseason and has appeared in just four of UND's 23 games this

season, scoring one goal and one assist.

The WCHA preseason rookie of the year, Grimaldi was a second-round draft pick (33rd overall) of the Florida Panthers in 2011.
