The Northwoods League announced the rosters for the 2017 All-Star Game on Friday.

The league’s all-star game is set for Tuesday, July 18 at 7:05 p.m. in Wausau, Wis.

The Bismarck Larks will be represented at the midseason all-star contest by left-handed pitcher Tyler Steele. Steele, a sophomore at Vanguard University, is 3-1 with a 2.89 earned-run average. In seven appearances, six starts, he has allowed 35 hits in 37.1 innings while allowing 12 earned runs, walking 10 and striking out 21.

North Dakota State junior right-handed pitcher Kevin Folman of the Duluth Huskies, and two Northern Sun Conference pitchers – Minnesota State-Mankato’s Aaron Rozek and Concordia-St. Paul’s Gus Varland – will also be part of the North Division squad.

Folman is 1-0 with eight saves in 13 appearances out of the Huskies’ bullpen. In 14.1 innings, he’s allowed one earned run on eight hits, walked four and struck out 20.

Rozek, pitching for St. Cloud, is 5-0 in six starts with a 2.65 ERA. IN 37.1 innings, he has surrendered 11 earned runs, walked 11 and struck out 44.

Varland, pitching for Willmar, is 3-0 for the Stingers. In eight appearances (one start), he has allowed two earned runs in 25.2 innings, walked seven and fanned 29 batters.

The first-half champion St. Cloud Rox and Mankato MoonDogs lead the North woth five selections apiece. St. Cloud is represented by Rozek, outfielders Drew Avans and Shane Selman and pitchers Brent Killam and Jack Cushing.

Mankato sends outfielder Toby Hanson, infielder Ethan Valdez, catcher CJ Schaeffer and pitchers Naithen Desnap and Collin Floyd.

South Division first-half champion Wisconsin Rapids has a league-high six all-star selections. The Rafters are led by Dustin Woodcock (five HR, 10 doubles, 30 RBIs) and Jack Eagan (six wins, 42 Ks in 35 innings and a 1.54 ERA).

All-star selections were chose in a vote by field staff and media contacts from all 20 league teams.
