The Shiloh Christian Skyhawks trailed early, but rebounded for a 48-35 victory over the Killdeer Cowboys Saturday at the Bismarck Civic Center Jamboree

It was 8-2 Killdeer when the Skyhawks started to take control. An 18-2 run, capped by a Jace Ritzke basket with 3:07 remaining in the first half, put Shiloh up 20-10. The Cowboys got it down to single digits early in the third quarter, but the Skyhawks went on to carry a 35-23 lead into the final eight minutes.

Ritzke, who was scoreless in the first quarter, led the Skyhawks with 15 points. Zac Martin and Josh Wood added 10 apiece.

The Cowboys were led by Calum Blankenship’s 11 points.

Nic Kramer and Brody Nieuwsma netted 15 and 14 points, respectively, as the Strasburg-Zeeland Clippers improved to 8-1 with a 50-44 win over Solen.

The Clippers carried a 43-32 lead into the final eight minutes and held off the Sioux, who got within four points twice.

Damon Lester scored a game-high 22 points for Solen.

Unbeaten New England overcame a slow start to win for the seventh time, 46-33 over New Salem-Almont.

After falling behind 13-3 late in the first quarter, the Tigers reeled off the next 13 points and led 16-13 at the intermission. They went on to outscore the Holsteins 20-10 in the third quarter, with John Urlacher’s three 3-pointers leading the way. Urlacher, a 6-foot-2 junior guard, netted five 3-pointers on the day and finished with a game-high 19 points. Daniel Prince added 14 points for the winners.

Ethan Hoger topped the Holsteins with seven.

Tyler Zentner, a 6-3 senior guard, scored 14 of his game-high 25 points in the first 16 minutes for the Wildfire, who led 37-22 at the intermission. James Warner netted all of his 11 points in the first half.

Jon Hodgekiss and Saunders Young Bird tallied 15 and 12 points, respectively, for the Warriors.

The Flasher Bulldogs erupted for 30 points in the first quarter in their 78-42 victory over Bowman County.

Taylor Krenz and Zack Schmidt scored eight points apiece in the first eight minutes, and Peyton Gabrielson added seven as Flasher rolled to a 30-12 lead. Krenz finished with a game-high 22 points — 18 via the 3-pointer. Gabrielson ended with 17 and Schmidt 14.

Tanner Fischer and Chandler Braaten tossed in 20 and 10 points, respectively, for Bowman County.

Jacob Oberlander scored 16 points, and teammates Caleb Weisgarber and Parker Pochant added 13 and 11 respectively, as Washburn ground out a 48-37 victory over Heart River.

Oberlander scored seven of his points in the first quarter and six in the fourth. Pochant also had six points in the final eight minutes to help the Cardinals close it out.

Cole Olson topped the Cougars with eight.

Grant County 45

South Border dominated the fourth quarter in its 63-45 victory over Grant County.

The two teams were tied at 43 at the end of the end quarter, but the Mustangs outscored the Coyotes 20-2 the rest of the way. South Border, which trailed by 10 points late in the first quarter, went on a game-ending 18-0 run after Grant County evened the score at 45.

Four Mustangs scored in double figures, with Adam Jacobson leading the way with 20. Jacobson netted four of South Border’s nine 3-pointers. Ross Knoll, Matt Kretschmar and Michael Rueb added 15, 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Dylan McAlexander had a team-high 16 points for the Coyotes. Jamison Roehl had 13 and Chandler Rivinius 10.
