Three of the top four seeds posted quarterfinal victories on Monday to advance today's semifinal round of the Region 5 volleyball tournament.

No. 1 Center-Stanton blanked Wilton-Wing 3-0 (25-9, 25-13, 25-22), No. 2 Shiloh Christian shut out New Salem-Almont 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-12), and No. 4 Grant County downed Underwood 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-13). In the final match of the day, No. 6 Garrison-Max outlasted No. 3 Flasher 3-2 (25-17, 16-25, 13-25, 25-15, 15-11).

Morgan Vitek recorded a team-high 11 kills for defending region champion Center-Stanton. Amber Frank and Abby Hintz added eight and six, respectively. Karsyn Haag served up five of the Wildcats' 12 aces.

Tara Binstock led Wilton-Wing with six kills and four blocks.

Taylor Roehl had 18 kills, 17 digs and two aces to pace Grant County. Alexis Bentz added eight kills and 15 digs, while Coral Alt recorded five aces and 12 assists.

Mackenzie Snyder topped the Comets with six kills.

Jesse Ebach and Graycin Wanzek had 10 kills apiece for Shiloh Christian. Josey Griess was credited with 21 assists and four aces. The Skyhawks had 13 aces in all.

Brenna Hoger had six kills and 12 digs for the Holsteins.

Garrison-Max emerged victorious despite a 24-kill effort by Flasher's Emma Marion.

Shelby Gehring and Kaitlyn Klein had 12 and 10 kills, respectively, for the Troppers. Ally Behles provided 28 assists and five aces, and Skylar Bright led the defense with 36 digs.

Faith Marion added 12 kills for the Bulldgos.

Center-Stanton and Grant County will meet at 6 p.m., tonight in the first semifinal match. Shiloh vs. Garrison-Max will follow.
