CURL NAMED PLAYER OF THE GAME IN U-18'S WIN
Britta Curl was named the U.S. Player of the Game in its 5-3 win over Russia at the U-18 World Championships in Dmitrov, Russia on Sunday.
Curl, a senior at St. Mary's and a star player for the Bismarck Blizzard, scored two goals and had an assist as the U.S. improved to 2-0 in the tournament.
Curl, a University of Wisconsin commit, scored the second and final goals for the Americans, who defeated Sweden 2-1 in overtime in their tournament opener on Saturday.
The U.S. plays its final preliminary-round game against Canada on Tuesday at 6:30 a.m.
