Packers top rest of NFC North in recent draft success
The Packers' ability to build through the draft is one of the main reasons why they are a combined 46-21-1 against the Lions, Bears and Vikings over that time.
According to Pro Football Reference's metric Approximate Value, which tries to measure a player's overall impact, the Packers have gained more value from the last 11 NFL Drafts than any other team in its division. While the Packers have hit on top picks like Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews, they've also found value in later rounds from fourth-round picks Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang.
Other teams in the division have struggled. Chicago has gained little value out of its first-round picks in the last decade while Detroit has seen almost no production from any of its late picks. Minnesota's recent top draftees have produced, but will they continue in the near future?
