GRAND FORKS (AP) — North Dakota scored four times in the second period Sunday and coasted to a 6-0 win over Michigan Tech in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.

UND (21-11-7) wins the best-of-three series and advances to the WCHA Final Five for the 11th straight year.

UND led 1-0 when Corban Knight started a four-goal burst against Huskies goalie Pheonix Copley. Carter Rowney, Mitch MacMillan and Colten St. Clair followed for a 5-0 lead after two periods.

Copley made 38 saves, but stopped just 10 of 14 shots in the second period.

UND goalie Clarke Saunders made 15 of his 27 saves in the second period. Senior goalie Tate Maris played his first college minutes and made 1 save.

UND won Friday’s game 5-3 but Michigan Tech (13-20-4) tied it 2-1 on Saturday.
