U-MARY WRESTLING ADDS FIVE
Five wrestlers have committed to wrestle at the University of Mary, including Ryan Stottler, a graduate student who has earned a bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State.
Stottler amassed 104 career wins in the upper weights at Minnewaska Area High School and placed fourth in the 2014 Minnesota state high school tournament. While at St. Cloud State, Stottler was a member of the 2015 and 2016 national championship teams.
The other signees are Gabriel Anderson of St. Michael, Minn.; Payton Hume of Kalispell, Mont.; Lance Jarrett of Gretna, Neb., and Anthony Velazquez of Los Banos, Calif.
Anderson, a 184-pounder, placed sixth in the Minnesota state tournament last winter, winning 40 matches.
Hume, a 165-pounder, is a three-time Montana state placer and a 2018 state champion. He won 154 matches at Flathead High School, including 97 falls.
Jarrett is a 184-pounder and two-time Nebraska state tournament placer. He won a state championship as a senior and completed his high school career with 176 wins,
Velazquez, a 157-pounder, qualified twice for the California state championships and was a two-time all-conference selection.
Earlier, the Marauders signed eight recruits during the December signing period.
