Central Community College clinched a trip to the NJCAA Division II national volleyball tournament with a 3-1 win over Bismarck State College on Saturday.
The Mystics, playing in the District G championship series for the first time since 2013, pulled out a 25-22 win in the third set of Saturday's match at the Armory. But, the Raiders closed out the win in the fourth, 25-14. Central won Friday's match 3-0.
Central, based in Columbus, Neb., improved to 34-10 on the season. The national tournament will be held in Charleston, W.V., Nov. 16-18.
Liza Doppler finished her MVP season with 13 kills, 19 digs and two aces for the Mystics. Senior Jaycee Walter added nine kills and a team-best four blocks. Kristina Lucier and Sierra Graff hit eight kills apiece.
Sam Anklam had a team-high 19 digs, while Alyssa Beck passed out 24 assists.
The Mystics ended their season with a record of 29-9.
