GRAND FORKS — Madi Buck turned in not only her best game as a college player, but one of the best games ever by any University of North Dakota women’s basketball player on Saturday.

The Century High School graduate scored 37 points, grabbed nine rebounds made three steals and dished out three assists to lead UND to an 88-83 comeback victory over North Dakota State at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

The 37 points were a career high for Buck, a senior, and tied for seventh-best in UND women’s history.

Buck scored 26 of her points in the second half, and UND made a late charge to beat the Bison for a fourth straight time. North Dakota — which trailed by seven points late in the game — outscored NDSU 11-2 over the last 2:05.

In addition to leading all scorers, Buck was also the game’s top rebounder and tied with teammate Kelsey Knox for the lead in steals.
