WASHINGTONHASKNEEINJURY

FARGO (AP) - North Dakota State says senior returner Shamen Washington likely is out for the season with a knee injury.

The 5-foot-6 Washington had offseason knee surgery, and recently was found to have a tear in his knee.

North Dakota State coach Craig Bohl said it's hard to tell exactly when the latest injury happened.

Bohl said NDSU may seek a medical hardship for Washington, but it's not likely to get one.
