nNOTE:Champion will be the sixth seed in the state tournament, runner-up will be seventh seed in the state tournament. Loser of Game 9 will be the eighth seed in the state tournament. Wahpeton automatically qualifies for the state tournament as the host team. If Wahpeton does not finish in the top three only the top two teams will advance and Wahpeton will be seeded eighth in the state tournament.

SEEDING TOURNAMENT

MINOT Hunter Johnson and Tyler Peterson both homered to lead the Bismarck Governors to a 7-3 victory over Fargo in Thursday's action of the Class A seeding tournament.

Hunter Johnson picked up the victory on the hill.

Alex Deyle, Johnson, Taylor Isakson and Matt Chuppe all collected two hits each for Bismarck.

Dickinson pounded Williston 20-8 in its first game of the day, but later lost to Minot 8-5.

Steve Laylock got the win against Williston.

Eric Seiler took the loss against Minot. Teammates Cole Frenzel and Ben Herauf both hit home runs against Minot.

GRANDFORKS Reid Jungling went 4-for-4, knocked in six runs and picked up the win on the hill to help the Mandan Chiefs roll over Jamestown 24-4.

Jared Quast went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Steve Pletan went 3-for-6 with three RBIs to contribute to Mandan's attack.

The Chiefs play West Fargo today at 1 p.m. The winner advances to the championship game and secures a berth in the state tournament. The loser plays tonight with a state berth on the line.
