DRESSLERSOLIDIN2009 OPENER

SASKATCHEWAN - Weston Dressler's season debut was a good one Friday for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Bismarck native had game highs of seven receptions for 154 yards as Saskatchewan opened the 2009 campaign with a 28-24 win over British Columbia.

Dressler had a long reception of 43 yards and the University of North Dakota product even ran the ball twice for only one yard.

Dressler returned one kick for 14 yards.

He used a 7-iron on the 168-yard 13th hole.

Witnesses were Claude Wilmes, Bruce Reinhardt and Brent Reinhardt.

KRAENZEL TOPLAY INBRAZIL

Bismarck's Austin Kraenzel has been chosen as one of six boys who will represent the United States in the Zico Cup soccer tournament.

Five girls and the six boys are People to People Sports Ambassadors.

Kraenzel is part of the Dakota United Soccer Club in Bismarck.
