WOMEN'SBASKETBALL

REBECCAKIELPINSKIHONORED

Alaska-Anchorage's Rebecca Kielpinski, fresh off her third straight Most Outstanding Player award in the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout, was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's player of the week.

Kielpinski led the Seawolves (7-1) to their third straight Shootout crown.

Kielpinski, a 6-foot-2 pivot from Mandan, furnished 24 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and six blocks last weekend.

The two-time GNAC Player of the Year, who was a second-team All-American last season, leads the Seawolves in scoring (11.4 points per game), rebounds (9.0 per game), field goal percentage (.483) and blocks (2.88). She is also second among Seawolves in assists (2.88).
