The new league, formed earlier this week, will be known as the B.G.M. League. The initials stand for Burleigh, Grant and Morton Counties.

The league will be affiliated with the Association of North Dakota Amateur Baseball Leagues and will send a representative to the association's state tournament in Jamestown.
League teams plan to begin play within a few days.
E.J. Anderson, who will manage the Bismarck Capitols, held his first practice at the Airport Road diamond. Those who were at the practice are Bill Leifur, Jerry Harter, Jim Simle, Jim Larson, Ron Volk, Dave Hummel, Duane Hummel, Jim Clark, Ernie Mickelson, Ed Volk, Ken Hilligoss, Ed Shinnum and Bill Hockenbury.
"We're just getting organized and should have a schedule made up by next week," E.J. Anderson said. "Many independent teams in the area have contacted me for games already. But we do need more players."
