Republican Sens. Jeff Flake, John McCain and Bob Corker all had the courage to stand up for our country and renounce what President Donald Trump has done to the country. Ex-presidents George Bush and Barack Obama have denounced the chaotic, lying and childish behavior of Trump.
In North Dakota one has to ask when will Sen. John Hoeven and Rep. Kevin Cramer have the courage to do the right thing instead of the thing that will keep them in office. Does the truth have any value, does basic decency matter, is there such thing as a moral stance?
Our representatives must set examples for the fundamental values that have made our country great. When our elected officials act as if expediency is more important than decency we have a problem. Does the end justify the means? Ask Hoeven and Cramer.
