Do North Dakota’s elected GOP super majority and state officials need a 12 Step Program? This question came to my mind long before State Tax Commissioner Ryan Rauschenberger's DUI became public knowledge. Also, I’m not talking about the 12 Step Programs that help millions of people across the world. What I’m referring to is our elected state officials being addicted to and enabled by corporate greed and their own obstinate ideology.

As an individual who has publicly stated that I’m in recovery I know personally, that the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. Well, right away, we would hit a snafu with our GOP super majority and state elected officials. They won’t admit that they have a problem and will quickly put the blame on somebody or somewhere else.

Never recognizing that their actions or lack of actions have created all the problems that North Dakota has had and is currently going through. And sadly, the insanity will continue, and the people of our state will steadily bear the problems caused by the obstinate ideology held by the GOP super majority.

I guess the governor did reinvent recovery. Instead of a 12 Step Program, there’s none. And the insanity will continue, until we the people do an intervention

Resist, remove and recover.
