Our country has a silent majority. They are not quoted, seldom have their pictures taken and rarely appear on television. These are the ones who seem to recognize the enduring debt we owe to those who fought and died so we could remain free, share in this great dream and live a life unmatched anywhere.
Today there are those who share those benefits while dishonoring the heroes who protected their right to embarrass us all. Kneeling during the playing of the national anthem is not a political act but a futile gesture of disgrace toward the country that allows them to do it.
