Gov. Doug Burgum:
You claim to want to reinvent government. You claim to be a political outsider. But you've shown us that, in fact, you never were an outsider.
Is your idea of reinventing Main Street shutting down our rural hospitals, clinics and nursing homes so everyone has to move to a large city? Because the health care repeal bill for which you've signaled your support would have devastating consequences for our rural hospitals.
What is your intention in "helping" North Dakota citizens with addiction? By taking away their access to behavioral health care, treatment and Medicaid? Is your intention in "helping" North Dakota citizens simply giving all your rich friends a tax break?
It becomes clearer every day your actions don't reflect your words. Your support for the Graham-Cassidy bill -- which every nonpartisan medical organization says is a terrible idea -- is indefensible. You disappoint me, governor.
