In the wake of the tragedy in Parkland, Fla., much soul searching is happening. The entertainment industry is in need of serious soul searching and in need of major changes. Over the years they have become the biggest promoters of violence in the American culture. The violence has become more cruel, more brutal, more dramatic and more glorified.
Young people and adults are inundated with it in the theaters, on television, in electronic games and on the internet. It is frightening. The entertainment industry wields great power in controlling what we see and hear. We need to demand better of them. We can do that by not spending money on their products and not watching it on television or on the internet.
We need to stay in control of what goes into our minds and into the minds of our youth, not an industry that only cares about profits.
